Following the huge success of ‘Singam’, director Hari’s status has increased stupendously in Tamil film industry. It’s worth mentioning that his story for the Hindi version has already won more reputation. The business of Hindi version has been done for Rs.82Crores out of which profit is around Rs.50Crores. It has naturally raised everyone’s expectations on this film.
Well for Dhanush, ‘Aadukalam’ has earned him a big name across the Country as he is ennobled as India’s Youngest actor to win National awards. In fact, ‘Aadukalam’ is doing a good round of business in home videos across Hindi speaking territories. With so many big brands coming together for ‘Venghai’, it’s sure that the film will make a big score.
Hari always gives a strong title to his films that are so appealing for the mass commercial audiences and ‘Venghai’ isn’t an exception. The film has Dhanush in an action-packed role while Thamannah stars opposite him in female lead role.
Initially Kalabavanmani was supposed to take on the negative role, but on the spur of moment was replaced by Prakash Raj. Ganja Karuppu will add humor elements to the film.
Devi Sri Prasad’s songs have already become good hits with the numbers ‘Yenna Solla Pora’ and ‘Kaalangathala’ standing out as best picks.
For the first time, Hari joins hands with a new cinematographer Vetri as Priya is busy with Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’.
The film is scheduled to hit screens this Friday (July 8, 2011) with more prints. Sun Pictures walked out of the project due to some issues and is finally released by the producers of Vijaya Productions.
