Varalakshmi Huge Expectation On Poda Podi

Actress Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar has had to wait pretty long for her Kollywood debut. Though the film ‘Poda Podi’ with STR as the hero was launched some time ago, it hasn’t been able to see completion quickly owing to various reasons.

However, after a slew of delays, the shoot has progresses at a better pace these days and there is buzz that the teaser would be releasing this month. So, there are expectations that ‘Poda Podi’ will be hitting the screens soon. Meanwhile, Varalakshmi, daughter of veteran actor Sarath Kumar, who plays the love interest of STR in the film, had a few things to say about her role and the movie.

She had said in an interview that she dons the role of a mother in the film. When it was felt that it was a risk for an actress who is looking for a good break in Kollywood, she reportedly said the film was a beautiful love story on the lines of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Alaipayudhe’. She said the film had a lot of scope for her to perform both as a teenage girl and a mother and she is looking to prove her mettle with the movie
