Samantha Gives 180 Days To Director Shankar

Samantha who walked out of Maniratnam’s ‘Kadal’ is in news once again. According to reports She is all set to star in Shankar’s film opposite Vikram. Insiders revealing shocking information from Aascar Films on whose banner the film is presented, says Samantha was paid a sensational amount of around Rs 1.25 crs as a remuneration. This makes her the number one in kollywood with Nayan being in second. A close source to the actress reasons that Sam has given 180 days of bulk dates to Shankar for the mass entertainer, and so, will lose out on at least 2 to 3 film offers.

“Hence the producer was convinced that she was justified in her demand,” says the source. Rahman is scoring music for the film which will be going to sets on July 15th.Meanwhile Samantha expressed regrets on losing Maniratnam’s film. Sharing the news she said “Unfortunately, I have to opt out of Mani sir’s film. My loss… But had to do it…coz my being sick left my dates in a huge mess.”
