Music: Thamman S
Lyrics: Vaali, Yugabharathy and Simbhu
1. Osthi Maamu
Vocals: Baba Segal, Ranjith, Rahul Nambiar, Naveen Madhav
Remember this ‘Osthi’ is a full-fledged commercial entertainer and you should have a clear picture on how the title song is gonna be. This is a complete Masala number that is especially for Silambarasan fans. The dance of Young superstar should be an additional attraction. Baba Segal rocks with his vocalism that is so energetic and peppy.
2. Unnale Unnale
Vocals: Thamman, Rita
Thamman has to change his style of rendering songs. Be it fast-beat Kuthu number or a melodious track, he comes up delivering it in the same style. It sounds like a situational song where both the protagonist and his ladylove fall in love. The female part by Rita is quite impressive while it may take some more time for the song to hit the bull’s eye.
Vocals: Rahul Nambiar, Mahathi
Lyrics: Yuga Bharathi
The song again is a romantic duet track that has some catchy tunes. It’s chorus that makes more impression. Rahul Nambiar takes off with his energetic voice and it’s a surprising piece of work by Mahathi. The playback singer has shifted her paradigms and this one works out to the core.
As you hear the song for first time, you’ll keep laughing from the bottom of your heart. Silambarasan usually pens lyrics that are quite conversational. Loosu Penne, Evandi Unna Pethan and now comes ‘Pondatti’. The song is like a dedication from all husbands to their wives. This is gonna rock over the top of charts.
5. Kalasala (Munni Song)
Vocals: L.R. Eeswari, Vijaya T Rajendar,
Munni Badanaam Hui became one of the topmost chartbusters and is repeatedly aired on all channels even a year after release. What makes the so special is the combination of singers like L.R. Eeswari and Vijaya T Rajendar. Keep hearing to the song and the celebrations will begin without your knowledge. The song is sure to have an outstanding choreography by Silambarasan and the hot-hotter-hottest Malliika Sherwat.
On the whole, ‘Osthe’ songs are patently for the fans of Silambarasan and for the ones, who have been missing the ‘Kuthu’ songs for a very long time.
Verdict: My dear Darling Mallika, Pondati rocks
