Madhavan plays the role of Madhana Gopal, who hires a spy named Manoharan (Kamal Haasan) to know whether actress Ambujam (Trisha) loves him or not.
‘Manmadhan Ambu’ marks the comeback of Madhavan in Kollywood as he accepted Kamal Haasan’s call impressed with the script. During the recent interaction with media channel, Madhavan expressed that working with Kamal Haasan gives you a vast experience. He is such a versatile personality, who is inimitable. On signing Trisha for the role of heroine, Kamal Haasan said that he would have thought of second option if Trisha hadn’t accepted to take part in rehearsals.
Sangeetha plays another female lead role while Kannada actor Ramesh Aravind, who already shared screen space with Kamal Haasan in ‘Pancha Thanthiram’ and ‘Sathi Leela Vathy’ plays important character in this movie.
Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin has produced the film at the cost of Rs.50Crores approximately. Produced under the banner of Red Giant Movies, the film’s music release was held at Singapore as a grand affair.
Devi Sri Prasad has scored music to the lyrics of Kamal Haasan and their song ‘Neela Vaanam’ crooned by Kamal Haasan has become a chartbuster.
The film was recently screened to the censor board officials and has been certified with ‘U’ certificate. It will release simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu titled ‘Manmadha Baanam’ on December 23 for the occasion of Christmas.
