Sasikumar made his debut as a filmmaker and producer with the film ‘Subramaniapuram’ that earned him incredible laurels across the globe. The film was screened at various international film festivals and indeed has inspired Bollywood filmmakers to make movies of that sort. After 3 years of sabbatical gap, Sasikumar returns wielding megaphone for the film ‘Easan’ that is produced by his home banner of Company Productions.

‘Easan’ is based on the lifestyle of various social classes in Chennai and how girls are harassed during the night parties in pubs and discotheques. The film has Samuthirakkani (who played negative role in ‘Subramaniapuram’) playing the protagonist’s role of a police officer while producer A.L. Azhagappan performs an important role.

Vaibhav of ‘Saroja’ and ‘Goa’ fame takes on another lead role with ‘Nadodigal’ Abhinaya and newcomer Aparna as the film’s heroines.

James Vasanthan has scored music to the film and the album has a right mix of folk, peppy techno and mild romantic melody.

Shedding lights on the film Sasikumar has said that there are two ways to feed the child. One is by making some promises that they will get whatever the child asks if consumes food. The second way is to frighten them saying that the ghost will carry them if they don’t eat the food. So Sasikumar’s way of feeding the audience will be the second pattern. Sasikumar assures that as the film walks out of the theatre, there will be fear amongst the audience generated out of anger.

The film is releasing this Friday (December 17).
