Ennobled as the sweet child of box office, the distributors and producers always welcome his films… Following the grand success of ‘Uthama Puthiran’, the actor is now ready for the release of his next movie titled ‘Aadukalam’. Well for Sun Pictures, it has been a never-ending success and their recent release ‘Endhiran’ has made them internationally acclaimed.
The success team has yet another victorious personality and he is none other than director Vetrimaaran. The filmmaker shot to fame with his debut directorial ‘Polladhavan’ that was a tremendous success.
The trio Dhanush-Vetrimaaran-G.V. Prakash gets back to strike with ‘Aadukalam’ that is completely based in the city of Madurai. The film will get into the untouched grounds of Madurai. Though the basic story is about a Madurai native youngster falling in love with an Anglo-Indian girl, the film has much to reveal about the culture and tradition of Madurai.
Earlier Trisha was supposed to play the female lead role and she underwent vigorous rehearsals. But as the shooting schedules were delayed, the call-sheet issues urged her to get out of the project. Apparently, newcomer Taapsee from Telugu film industry has been signed for the female lead role of an Anglo Indian. Daniel Balaji and Kishore, who played important roles in ‘Polladhavan’, will perform substantial characters in this film as well.
Musical score by G.V. Prakash has already become super hit with couple of songs ‘Yaathe’ and ‘Otha Sollala’ turning to be chartbusters.
R. Selvaraj has handled cinematographer late stunt choreographer Rambo Rajkumar has worked on fight sequences.
The film will hit screens on Jan 14, 2011 for the occasion of Pongal.
