Actress Lakshmi Rai is known for her sizzling outfits and glamorous roles. However, now she seems to have gone in for a deglamourized look. It is said she will look that way in forthcoming movie ‘Thandavam’.

The little birdie has it that the actress has been shooting for the film without any make-up. After camping for several days in London for the shoot, the actress on her return has been going ga-ga about her important role in the film.

Reports quoted her as saying that ‘some directors try to give a new, never- seen-before look for their heroines. Vijay is one such director who likes to do something different with his lead actors. He chose a de-glam look for me in ‘Thandavam’. She is happy that the role had more scope for acting. Lakshmi Rai is hopeful that the audience would her accept her ‘new avatar.’
