Are you feeling literally exhausted with your workload, problems and unbearable summer heat? Book your tickets for Kalakalappu @ Masala Café: its best way to relieve yourselves from these factors. Mark our words!!! It’s a best way to kill your time for this time. Maybe, our verdicts might strike your senses to be a sort of exaggeration, but you’ll feel a refreshing experience watching this movie.

Loaded with lots of subplots, the film revolves around two brothers Seenu (Vimal) and Raghu (Mirchi Shiva), who have only goal in life, though their characteristic nature varies – to regain the lost glory of Masala Café, a town restaurant established by their ancestors. The parallel tracks involves the romantic encounters between Seenu-Madhavi (Anjali) and Raghu-Maaya (Oviya) and from the other corner, a jeweler (Panchu Subbu) translocates a bunch diamonds, which passes onto various hands, finally landing up with the protagonists.

The second half is filled with more and more humour, which tots up Kalakalappu as a wholesome comedy entertainer.

Sundar C is always famous for his knack of handling humorous scripts, which is evident right from his debut movie. To get in right terms, Kalakalappu proves to be outperforming his yesteryear blockbuster movie Ullathai Alithaa. Every characterization in the movie etched with equal importance. Right from the protagonists to the Google Labrador, everyone keeps evoking excess of humor.
Cherry-picks of the film would be the last 30minute drama that sends you crazy with more comedy. Not to miss the chasing sequences between Vimal, Santhanam and Manobala followed by the final confrontation between the characters for the diamond is awesome.

Shiva keeps amusing us with his witty liners while Vimal with his innocuous nature and Santhanam, the showstopper is not an exception. Although, he appears only during the second hour, he just sweeps us on with continuous tracks. NEE ENNA MADHAVI DOSTHA ILLA DOSTANAAVA and many more lines leave us in splits.

On the whole, Kalakalappu is a best entertainer for this season and might probably become a big contender for Oru Kal Oru Kannadi.

Verdict: Best stress buster… Don’t miss it.
