It is confirmed that Kamalhaasan Ambitious project and worth of rupees 90 crores production film Vishwaroopam will not be aired in DTH on January 10th night. The result came out after combination of dull DTH premiere response and stiff opposition from theatre owners and distributors have tored down the DTH plans.As of now Vishwaroopam theatrical release has been postponed to January 25. A lot of confusion still remains about the deal between Kamal Haasan and TNTOA. Kamal is asking for a solo release in 450 plus screens in Tamil Nadu on January 25 and is insisting on one show on DTH platform four days after its theatrical release.

The decision is yet to made by the theatre owners and distributors. As of now Vishwaroopam is delayed its release and will not be released in DTH and the film will be released only in Theatres.

It’s all old news that Studio Green planned Alex Pandian to be released on January 12 but as based on karthi’s fans request Studio Green decided to release Karthi Anushka starrer Alex Pandian to hit the big screens on advance one day before which is on January 11th instead releasing the film on 12th. This made Alex Pandian to come face to face with Vishwaroopam in the release date battle. It seems Alex Pandian got a handy of 450 screens across the city and studio green have all their advantage to release the movie with clashing Vishwaroopam.

Samar which was directed by Thiru stars Vishal and Trisha in the lead that was stated to release on December 28 pushed forth late due to post production work. Now, it seems samar is in huge problem of non availability of theatres to book. Already maximum screens have gone to Alex Pandian, Kanna Laddu Thinna Asaiya and Vishwaroopam.Meanwhile Samar director Thiru is waging a lone battle trying to convince people that it is confirmed for Pongal. Thiru Tweeted in his twitter page as “People please don’t cook up your own stories or jump into any conclusions. Samar will hit the screens from 13th January for sure.”
