Things are moving rather swiftly for Ajith’s forthcoming biggie – ‘Billa-2′ directed by Chakri Toleti. Even as the makers are said to be eyeing a 22 June release, it is said the movie went to the Censors on Thursday. Sources have it that ‘Billa-2′ has been cleared with an ‘A’ certificate due to its ‘violent theme and presentation.’ Chakri Toleti wrote on his Twitter page: ‘Billa 2 has been censored ‘A’ with no major cuts.’
However the producer of the film Sunir Kheterpal tweeted- ‘Billa 2 censor certification process not over yet, will not compromise on film cuts. Next steps only after getting certificate tomorrow.’
It remains to be seen what line the makers take and it is expected that Sunir Kheterpal and distributor Aascar Ravichandran will firm up a strategy to handle the situation.
